Pet-Friendly Cafe in Ipoh

Ipoh's cafe scene has grown well past coffee and toast, and a good number of spots now welcome pets alongside their human owners. We've counted 46 pet-friendly cafes across the city, ranging from old shophouse conversions in the old town with a few tables set aside outdoors, to newer, purpose-built cafes in areas like Ipoh Garden and Bercham that build their whole layout around dogs and cats being part of the visit.

"Pet-friendly" covers a wide range in practice. Some cafes simply allow leashed dogs in an outdoor or semi-outdoor section. Others go further with water bowls left out as standard, a dedicated pet menu of treats or dog-safe ice cream, non-slip flooring, and staff who are actually used to handling animals rather than just tolerating them. A few resident-cat cafes flip the arrangement, where the cafe's own cats roam and visiting dogs aren't allowed at all.
